Not the most spendy of commissioners by a long shot and certainly not recently, but I'm a web programmer, I know the joys and irritation of 'hey, I know you usually do this for money, but I'm broke, can't you just make one for me for free?'

Yeah... people just seem to think that because I like drawing, that means I'd like to do it for free, spending a day or two on a piece of artwork because I have nothing better to do. I wouldn't expect a mechanic friend to fix my car for free because they like fixing cars. Artists just don't seem to be taken seriously sometimes.
